About Us

The Carol Ong’ombe Foundation (COF), founded in 2022 and registered under the Societies Act Cap 108 in Kenya, stands as a beacon of hope and empowerment for vulnerable women, teenage girls, and young women across the country. Established as a Non-Religious, Non-Political, and Not-For-Profit organization, COF is dedicated to uplifting women and girls who face social and economic challenges, providing them with essential tools to build better, independent lives.

At COF, we believe that every woman, regardless of her background, deserves the opportunity to thrive. Our programs span across healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, and life skills development—foundational pillars that equip women with the resources and knowledge to overcome barriers and seize opportunities. We place a particular emphasis on supporting teenage girls and young women, recognizing the unique challenges they face and the immense potential they hold for creating lasting change within their communities.

Through our initiatives, we aim to empower these women not only to transform their own lives but to become catalysts for growth, resilience, and progress in their communities. At COF, we are passionate about building a future where every woman in Kenya can stand tall, empowered, and independent, creating ripples of positive change that uplift generations to come.

Our Vision

A future where every woman in Kenya thrives with dignity, independence, and the power to transform her community for generations to come.

Our Mission

To empower vulnerable women and young girls in Kenya by providing resources in health, education, entrepreneurship, and life skills, enabling them to overcome barriers and build independent, resilient lives.

Our Background

In Kenya, 43% of women experience economic exclusion, while teenage girls and young women face significant barriers in accessing education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. With an estimated 1 in 5 girls dropping out of school due to financial constraints, and maternal mortality rates remaining high due to limited healthcare access, the need for targeted support has never been more urgent.

The Carol Ong’ombe Foundation was established in 2022 to address these pressing challenges by empowering vulnerable women and young girls across Kenya. Registered under the Societies Act Cap 108, COF is a non-religious, non-political, and not-for-profit organization focused on bridging the gap in essential resources for Kenya's marginalized communities. Our work spans healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, and life skills development, with a particular emphasis on teenage girls and young women who stand at a critical crossroads in their lives.

We believe that by providing these women with the right tools and support, they can rise above socio-economic barriers, creating a ripple effect of positive change that benefits entire communities. COF is committed to building a Kenya where every woman, regardless of her circumstances, has the opportunity to build a resilient, independent, and empowered life.
